Advent Brings Changes

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
It is with joyful expectation that we remind you of St. Paul’s schedule of services this month. We have, as announced previously, moved Lessons and Carols to December 15th at 10:45 a.m.  – our regular service time. Attendance after Christmas at this service has in the past years been poor. Because of its content, how hard the choir has worked to prepare this offering and the desire to celebrate with anticipation the Advent of our Lord we have moved it. It will be Advent Lessons and Carols not Christmas Lessons and Carols. It will be beautiful and meaningful. We hope you will make a point of being present. The Holy Eucharist Rite I will be celebrated at 8:00 a.m. service that day per usual.Christmas Eve service times are at 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. The 4:00 p.m. Christmas Pageant and Eucharist are family friendly. The 10:00 p.m. is a glorious festival celebration with choir and trumpet. There will be one service the First Sunday after Christmas, December 29th at 10:00 a.m. It will be filled with music of the season including numerous carols and include Eucharist. One of the gifts of our tradition is that we have liturgical seasons. I for one am grateful that there are twelve days of Christmas not just one. May you be filled with the never-ending joy that the coming of our Savior heralds.Tammy+

Welcome to St. Paul’s, Beaufort

Welcome to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

We are glad you are visiting our website and hope you will visit us in person soon.  If you are looking for a spiritual home, we welcome you to worship God and grow in grace with us. If you are looking for a temporary place of spiritual rest and fulfillment as you travel on to another destination, you are welcome to spend a day or a month or more with us.

St. Paul’s is part of the Diocese of East Carolina of The Episcopal Church. Our worship services use the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. Our early service at 8am is a quiet service using Rite I. The family service at 10:45 am uses Rite II with music. (From Memorial Day through Labor Day we gather at 10:00 am.) Child care is available from 9:30 am to 12 noon. We offer Sunday school for all ages from 9:30-10:30 am during the school year.

We invite you to walk with us on your spiritual journey.  Wherever that journey takes you, may you know the blessings of God who calls us all in love.

May the Peace of the Lord be always with you.
