Sunday Services

St. Paul’s has returned to in person worship

We encourage you to take whatever precautions you feel most comfortable practicing and to be mindful of the needs of others whose practices may be different from your own. Communion will continue at this point in both kinds.

ALL ARE WELCOME

Updates or This Week at St. Paul’s

Communion will continue at this point in both kinds. Services will continue to be streamed. Sunday School for Adults and Children has returned.

We are in the process of partnering with other Episcopal churches in our deanery and beyond to pray online twice daily via livestream for the people of Russia and Ukraine. We also ask your prayers for the leaders of the nations and our armed forces. Evil loves chaos and divisiveness.  It thrives in that context. Do your part to be part of the peace that passes understanding, to be the Spirit of Jesus,  as you keep the faith in this broken world and let the faith keep you in the same.

Ashley Simpson, Associate Rector

Hello, St. Paul’s!

I am very excited and honored to answer the call to return to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church as your new Associate Rector. To those I have met in my previous time at St. Paul’s, I look forward to reconnecting with you. To those I have not met yet, I cannot wait to meet you and get to know you. My dog Belle and I will be moving to Beaufort at the beginning of May and will officially join you all at the beginning of June. In the meantime, please keep us in your prayers during this time of transition. As I have said many times over the last few weeks, I am ready to get back to work, to serve the church and its people, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to join you all at St. Paul’s in this work.

With Gratitude,

Ashley Simpson

Welcome!

Welcome to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

We are glad you are visiting our website and hope you will visit us in person soon.  If you are looking for a spiritual home, we welcome you to worship God and grow in grace with us. If you are looking for a temporary place of spiritual rest and fulfillment as you travel on to another destination, you are welcome to spend a day or a month or more with us.

St. Paul’s is part of the Diocese of East Carolina of The Episcopal Church. Our worship services use the 1979 Book of Common Prayer.

We invite you to walk with us on your spiritual journey.  Wherever that journey takes you, may you know the blessings of God who calls us all in love.

May the Peace of the Lord be always with you.

Our early service at 8am is a quiet service using Rite I. The family service at 10:45 am uses Rite II with music. (From Memorial Day through Labor Day we gather at 10:00 am.) Child care is available from 9:30 am to 12 noon. We offer Sunday school for all ages from 9:30-10:30 am during the school year.
